Welcome to Magnolia

Magnolia is known by native Seattlites as the neighborhood that was named by accident. Long-time residents know that a member of the U.S. Coastal Survey actually named Magnolia Bluff because he thought our Madrona trees with their distinctive red bark were Magnolias. He was wrong, but the name stuck and the neighborhood known has long since been known as Magnolia. Tucked just northwest and only a few minute drive from downtown Seattle, Magnolia gives the homeowner the best of all worlds; it’s like living in a small town with the benefit of being just minutes from a big city. Magnolia embodies a strong sense of community enhanced by its charming “village” retail core and its community center, many parks and pool. Discovery Park, on the far north of the neighborhood, is known as one of Seattle’s best parks. It offers walking trails through meadows and forest, stunning Puget Sound vistas, and access to the beach. Magnolia is filled with homes of both classic and contemporary architecture and offers some of the city’s best views of Puget Sound, Elliott Bay, The Olympic Mountains and Downtown Seattle.
