Windermere
Windermere was established in 1910 as a lakeside residential neighborhood in Seattle. Named after Windermere in England’s Lake District, the neighborhood is beautifully situated on the western shores of Lake Washington.
Windermere offers a wide variety of architecture with homes built in the 1920’s, – 1960’s and even a number of newer homes built in the last decade. Most homes are sited on large lots as compared to much of Seattle and some offer views of the lake while others are sited directly on the shores of Lake Washington.
Windermere residents have exclusive access to Windermere Park and Beach club which includes a large play field, tennis courts, children’s playground, kayak and canoe storage, and boat dock. This private park offers opportunities for everything from a quiet walk to hosting a large party.
